However, with the encouragement and support from Sunder (then district president) I decided to continue in YCW. Once Sunder left the movement I started again to rethink my commitment with YCW. Moreover, I had several confrontations with Vince, the field worker. However, I took these confrontations as means to sharpen my ideas and view on issues. Therefore, I decided to continue in YCW.

I learned the following in my 2 ½ years of experience in YCW. Basically, I am a person who questions everything. The 2005 national council gave enough change to me to raise questions on all aspects of the movement. This increased my commitment with YCW. The movement gave me many chances to develop my capacities. I was given chance to animate training session at the district level. Through this I could share my opinion on issues and I could also know the opinion others.

In the beginning stage, I could look at issues only from the negative perspective. However, after a few successful actions and the sharing of experiences by the field workers, I started identifying the positives in every thing. Now I am person who looks issues from positive perspective.

Participation in the activities of YCW and animating the base group meeting developed my personality. I could now say that YCW movement has played a very important role in my development. The national YCW recognised me by including me in the action team for unemployed. I was also a member of the preparation team for the 24th national council. Through this I had the opportunity to visit other district movements and to identify the strengths of these movements. I could meet with many young workers during the formation sessions and other activities. Now they are friends to me. Therefore, now I could see a stage by stage development in my self. I am honest and open to say that it is because of YCW that I developed myself. I am sharing my experience so that you could also reflect and discover your development in YCW and share it with others.
